A CHRISTMAS POEM…SORT OF

xmas1

‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the blog

Ron and I were busy writing and sipping eggnog.

The header and widgets were arranged nice and neat

In hopes that readers would find them all complete.

The words were nestled all snug in their rows

With visions of sentences they’d soon compose.

Then Ron with his bad back and I with hobbled knees

Had just settled in for some long winter’s zzzzz’s.

When out in the office arose such a clatter

We sprang from our beds to see what’s the matter.

To the office we hustled and opened the door

To find at first glance not much to explore.

But then what to our wondering eyes should appear

But a half eaten Italian sub and empty bottles of beer.

And sitting there sleepy eyed and much in a fog,

We knew in a moment that it must be St. Blog.

For just before blanking out at his very last yawn

On the monitor, a Christmas scene he had drawn.

And scrolling across the top all blazin’d in letters so bright,

“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”

*****

Merry Christmas Everyone!
